Spotlight Series: 2016 Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, Day 3
This week, all of us at ASN are taking part in Direct Support Professional Recognition Week by celebrating the outstanding employees who provide direct supports every day. But, we are not the only ones recognizing DSP Recognition Week in Arkansas.
Governor Asa Hutchinson has formally proclaimed September 11th through 17th as National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week across the state of Arkansas. See the full proclamation here.
Everyone at ASN and people all across the state are extremely grateful for the hard work and dedication of direct support providers. We are happy to introduce you to a few more of ASN’s excellent DSPs:
Priscilla Smith has worked for ASN for five years and in that time has supported a wide variety of individuals. She is always nurturing, supportive, and willing to go above and beyond her basic job duties to provide the very best support to individuals. Priscilla has assisted many individuals to improve their independent living skills and increase their independence. She loves to teach and has close, supportive relationships with everyone she serves.
Jessica Bock works in ASN’s Arkansas Autism Partnership program. She’s been an employee at ASN for two years. Jessica works hard every minute of every shift and is willing to work long and awkward shifts to accommodate the individuals and families she supports. She always puts forth her best effort and stays focused on the best interests of the individuals and families she serves. Jessica has made a lasting improvement in the lives of many children with autism.
Pang Lee has worked at ASN off and on for over 10 years. Just when she thinks she has moved on to other things, the connection she has with the individuals she support pulls her back to her home at ASN. Pang takes great care and invests quality time in developing relationships with the individuals and families she supports. She is committed to providing supports that are completely focused on the needs, wants, and desires of the individuals receiving services, and the people she supports love and respect her for it.
If you see any of these ladies, any of the employees highlighted this week, or any of the other excellent direct support providers at ASN, make sure to tell them how important their jobs are and how grateful you are for their hard work. Check back tomorrow to meet more great DSPs.
